If you’re expecting your medication delivery this festive period, it’s a good idea to get prepared and know your delivery options. Our courier Royal Mail offer a range of flexibility and different options to suit you. Find out your best options.
For quick and easy updates, we suggest you use the Royal Mail App which has great features to help you manage your delivery with ease. Some of the benefits of using the Royal Mail App are:
- Tracked Deliveries: receive instant push notification updates on the progress of your deliveries for peace of mind when it will be delivered
- Book a redelivery: Royal Mail will automatically attempt a redelivery again on the next working day, or you can book a redelivery on a specified day on the app
- Inform Royal Mail of your delivery preferences: set a SafePlace for your items when you’re not in.
Creating a delivery preference on the Royal Mail app
The Royal Mail App allows you to set a SafePlace for your parcels if no one is in to accept delivery, or you can use Royal Mails Inflight Options.
SafePlace:
The SafePlace functionality allows you to set a location to leave your parcel when you’re not going to be in. This location can be any secure, weatherproof area of the property that is safe and easily accessible. If you have any accessibility requirements, for example knocking louder, or waiting for longer for you to get to the door, please use the accessibility option in the SafePlace field.
How to set a SafePlace:
- Download the Royal Mail App and set up a new account (if required)
- Go to the account section and manage account
- Select address and delivery preference
- Set a SafePlace and/or Accessibility requirement
- Pick one of the options and save.
Inflight Options:
Royal Mail offers the option to change your delivery options whilst your parcel is enroute, offering flexibility for your delivery.
Features within the app:
- Change the day of your delivery
- Choose delivery to a preferred neighbour
- Choose delivery to a SafePlace
- Choose delivery to your local Post Office branch
- Choose delivery to your local Mail Delivery Office
How to use this service:
- You will receive an email, SMS or a push notification from the Royal Mail App informing you when to expect your parcel
- The link will take you to the Tracked and Trace (either online or within the App)
- Click on “Change Delivery Options” button
- Enter the tracking ID number and the delivery postcode
- Select your preferred change options which are available and click submit.
